Futuregames

As the frontier of gaming with almost 25 years of experience, Futuregames  ranks as one of the best game education schools in the world. The school offers short courses from intensive professional courses to comprehensive full-time programs, Futuregames has acclaimed its close partnerships with industry giants like Avalanche Studios, CD Projekt Red, EA DICE, and more. Now, the school has expanded from its Swedish base and opened another campus in Poland for its latest venture: Futuregames Warsaw.

Located within the premises of CD Projekt Red, one of the industry's most influential game development companies, Futuregames Warsaw offers students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of games. Piotr Matecki, Head of School and Business Development at Futuregames highlights the partnership it has with CDP: "You can imagine how motivated you are if you are learning at school, which is a neighbor to the company of your dreams where you want to end up as a designer, artist, or programmer."

An evolving industry

As the gaming industry evolves, the focus has shifted beyond graphics to more immersive storytelling tools. This means gamers are expecting more immersive experiences, featuring a variety of subplots and unexpected twists for deeper player engagement. To meet this growing demand, Futuregames Warsaw has invested in top-notch equipment that is capable of handling software requirements necessary to create engaging content. By prioritizing the use of cutting-edge technology, Futuregames Warsaw ensures that its students are equipped with the tools necessary to thrive in an industry where storytelling is everything.

Color accuracy in game art

Across the school, Futuregames uses the ASUS ProArt Display PA278CGV when working on games. What makes this monitor suitable for game development is its high refresh rates. With a blazing 144Hz display, students can seamlessly review fast-moving images without any disturbing lags or delays. Moreover, with the 27-inch screen size, this monitor offers a great playing field for students to bring their creative visions to life.

Yet, it's not just about speed and size - color accuracy is hugely important when it comes to game development. Rendering 95% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB Rec.709 color gamut, the ASUS ProArt Display ensures that every hue and shade is correctly reproduced, allowing students to focus on every nuance in their creations. As Daniel Gonzalez, a Game Art student at Futuregames, emphasizes, "Color accuracy is one of the two most important things. We need to see all the little details and color differences because just a small change in the value of any color or hue can make a great difference."

Powerful graphics

At Futuregames Warsaw, students are equipped with the Mastero Professional Powered by ASUS workstation, which is designed to support every stage of game creation. Central to this workstation is the ProArt RTX 4070 Ti graphics card, delivering the processing power necessary to tackle even the most demanding gaming projects with ease. However, the workstation's capabilities extend beyond just the power when paired with color-accurate monitors, students can evaluate every small detail of their creations throughout their workflow.
